It’s that time of the year where my family and I are going on Vacation! We’re all very excited, as we haven’t been on a vacation for several years due to an extended illness of mine.

So now flying is back
Well, after all the frantic cries from the WoW universe, it now appears that flying will be allowed in WoD. You’ll have to do some questing and exploring

Have a Happy & Safe 4th!!
Yawn ….. this is not a good sign!
So, I don’t know how I feel about this new patch yet. While the naval missions are “interesting”, it’s really just more of the same with regards to garrison missions. Not very exciting in the grand scheme of things.
I do think the time walking function will be fun to try out, but I’m not sure how much that will keep me interested.
I guess I just don’t find this expansion to be that engaging yet. I’m not sure if it’s because of the actual game play or if it’s just life keeping me so busy that I just don’t have as much time to play and be as engaged in the game as I used to.
We’ll see what happens over the next several months I guess.
Wait, we’ll be able to fly??
So, it appears that with the 6.2 patch, the WoW team has decided to listen to their player base and put flying back in the game. It won’t be easy to do, but thank goodness they added it back.
So, apparently, you’ll have to do a whole bunch of quests to open the flying in Draenor, but from what it looks like, it shouldn’t be too bad 😀
Finally, Level 100 on WickedWolf
Finally hit level 100. Now I’m in the process of finishing off quests in various zones and doing garrison quests. There’s still so much more to do on this toon.
i have to do the proving grounds, and if you’ve seen my prior post on this, I am not happy. I finished it on Bronze, and have failed so far to do it on Silver. I’ll keep trying 😄
No more flying…
So I read that there will be no flying in Draenor and future expansions. As I read the article I was both happy and sad.
I was happy because not being able to fly makes it more difficult for everyone to travel through the zones and forces players to be much more cognizant of their surroundings. It makes finding things, such as treasures more challenging as well.
All aspects of the game are more challenging when you cannot fly. The simplest tasks that would be easy to complete in Pandaria can now take a lot longer since you either have to travel by mount or via flight taxi.
I was sad to hear there would be no more flying because the logic the developers are using is weak at best. Flying is an integral part of the game and excluding it from future expansions just sounds like a cheap excuse to not include the functionality because they don’t want to take the time to test it. There are a million and one scenarios that they can design around to include it that can still keep the game challenging as well as fair and engaging. For example, only allow flying once you get to a certain level, such as 100, a la when you originally had to be level 60 for a mount. Make it expensive, 100,000 gold for the license to fly in Draenor, or make it a quest chain along the lines of the legendary quest chain where you need to attain the parts of your mount, and it takes three months to complete. These are just a few ways to make it work.
Flying is useful because once most players get to be fully geared and are bored with most aspects of the game, it would be nice to be able to get in a flying mount and just explore the zones. Being able to see an area from the sky, especially without worrying about being attacked, is pretty cool.
I hope that enough subscribers let Blizzard know how they feel and that they reconsider their choice of allowing flying. Most players are already disappointed with Draenor and adding this to the current feeling of malaise in the game will just lead to more player drain.
Blizzard needs to be adding functionality not removing them. Unless their goal is to kill of the game?
Just my thoughts
Stupid Bots
I open this site and within 10 hours, there’s like 20 people (bots) listed as users. Rediculous how fast people try and ruin someone else’s stuff.
