Pet Battles

I like the pet battles feature in World of Warcraft.  There’s actually some strategy involved, especially when your doing the PVP part.  I’ve been spending some time lately trying to level my pets, and while it’s slow going (since I have so many), it’s at least fun!

You can view my pets here: http://www.warcraftpets.com/collection/Amphyx/

Warcraft Pets it a great resource and tool for anyone that collects pets.  The have more information on pets then you would think possible.

A nice feature is their rankings which show you where you are in relation to other people on your server as well as other people on all the servers.  However, it’s key to understand that not everyone that collects pets will be registered on this site, so take the rankings with a grain of salt, if you know what I mean 🙂

Leave a comment if you want and let me know what you think of the Pet Battle feature!

Spammers – Really?

It’s amazing!  No sooner do I open this website to let people register, then the flood gates start with spammer ID’s. I don’t get it!  Don’t these people have anything better to do?  It’s not like I’m going to approve them and let them post spam, but it’s such a waste of time!

There really should be a way to track them down and throw their sorry asses into jail.

Nuff said about that rant!!!

Blackhand’s Crucible

This “raid” is simple.  What’s frustrating is that you can wait up to 30 minutes to get into the raid and there is only one boss, Blackhand, himself.

The mechanics are simple, as a DPS.  Just keep moving, avoid the fire on the ground and the circles of pain he throws out throughout the fight.  He does a push back, which as long as your not near an edge, shouldn’t be an issue.  Overall, the fight is simple and relatively quick.

Finally, with this being the final boss fight in the Blackrock Foundry raid, I was really expecting more.  For a single boss raid, there should’ve been more to it, more fight, or something.  The only cool part was dropping through the floor twice during each phase of the fight.

Again, not impressed with this raid.

More Raaaaiiidddiiinnngggg and a Timewalk!

So, I was doing some more raiding and am really not that thrilled with the them.  As I mentioned in my last post, I found the Highmaul raid to be very easy.  I was surprised with how simple they were.  Then today I did the Blackrock Foundry raid.  Again, I found the raid to be easy and fast.

My main complaint however is that the two raids are just boring.  Tomorrow and Sunday I plan on starting the Hellfire raid an I hope they are better, more engaging and just plain fun and exciting.  I really hope they aren’t boring!

I did Mana Tombs in Timewalking mode.  It was the first time I’ve done it and I really liked it.  I missed those old dungeons!  They were fun to do, and just like I remember doing them so long ago.  I hope they enable it for all the old content.

Have a great weekend!

Raiding!

I finally had some time to do some raiding, since it’s kind of required for the ring quest.

After finishing the Highmaul raids, I have to say, YAWN!  Not very exciting raids, and while they are quick to complete, they really weren’t that interesting or engaging.  Same old mechanics, same old raids where everyone pounds on the boss.

Not challenging at all.

I’ll post more about the next set once I finish them. Hopefully they’ll be more engaging.

Back from Vacation! Let’s Rock!

It’s great to be home!  After being away for just under a month, it’s so nice to finally be home.  I was able to log into WoW a few times while on vacation, but not too much, which in some ways was kind of nice.  It was a really nice vacation, and just nice to be away for awhile.

Now that I am home, it’s time to get in gear and progress Amphyx.  I did some Pet Battles, and you can check my progress here:

I’ve really only been able to work on Garrison stuff for my other toons for now.  I really need to progress Amp, so that’s where I will be spending my time for a little bit.  Then again, who knows …

In other WoW news, It was exciting to see the new expansion, Legion, that’s been announced.  I always thought that the Burning Crusade was one of the best expac’s, so I’m really looking forward to this new one, and hope they (Blizzard), has learned a lot from the current one.  While they introduced a lot of new areas around the Garrisons, the game has become too time intensive.  Not everyone has the time to do all the garrison quests and raiding quests/dailies every day.  So, I’m really hopeful that they change that functionality in the new expansion.

The intro video was pretty cool though, and will keep my finders crossed.

Till next time!
